Role Purpose & Scope* (why does this job exist and what scope does it cover?) Serve as the strategic interface between the business platform and IT, shaping a multi‑year technology roadmap, orchestrating delivery across global sites, and ensuring GxP‑compliant platforms (where applicable) deliver measurable outcomes (cost, quality, speed). Key Responsibilities* A. Strategic Partnership & Business AlignmentServe as the primary IT liaison to business platform leadership teams, aligning technology strategy to business goals and operational prioritiesCo‑create technology-enabled business strategies (e.g., via Collaboration Pods/C‑Pods or business platform councils). Participate in business strategy setting, Value delivery measurement, KPIs, and benefit realization tracking together with the businessIdentify and shape digital transformation opportunities, advising leaders on emerging technologies and their feasibility. Responsible for end to end demand qualification & intake Innovation & digital transformation enablement aligned with business strategy and priorities Quality, security & compliance accountability for the platform and corresponding sitesB. Portfolio, Product & Program LeadershipLead the IT project/portfolio for the business platform: prioritization, business case development, resource allocation, and execution oversight. Drive consistent IT product delivery across internal and external manufacturing networks (critical for CMDO external partners). Oversee IT roadmap development, including technologies supporting manufacturing, quality, ERP/MES/QAD systems, data products, and automation.Governance participation under the new TOM Cross functional orchestration across CoEs, DIOs, Digital & Data, Product owners, etcC. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management Build strong partnerships, Structured, proactive stakeholder management at various levels of business e.g. leaders, plant operations, quality heads, supply chain, and external CMOsAct as a trusted advisor by communicating IT concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.Assign the right product managers/owners to key initiatives.D. Governance, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with IT policies, GxP, regulatory frameworks, data integrity, and platform governance.Support quarterly business reviews, track KPIs, and monitor IT services' contribution to business outcomes.E. Operational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementMonitor and optimize performance of IT solutions across manufacturing and quality operations.Support operational troubleshooting while maintaining strategic focus—balancing deep business understanding with selective operational involvement. F People Management and site IT leadershipLead a team of IT site leads for respective platformOwnership of site/platform/cross-platform digital roadmapCapability building & maturity uplift / people development Required Skills & Competencies* (e.g. technical, interpersonal, problem solving) 1. Leadership & Change Capability Ability to lead change, coach business partners, and drive organizational adoption of new technology.Skilled in navigating ambiguity and influencing without authority—common in matrixed global operations.Qualifications (Min. requirements to perform assigned tasks) Education/Degree Required* 7–12+ years in IT roles, with at least several years in business partnering, IT strategy, manufacturing IT, or enterprise platforms.Experience in regulated industries (biopharma, medical, manufacturing) preferred.Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional IT initiatives and working within matrix environments. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Business; Master’s degree is an advantage.
