Based in Basel, this role sits at the heart of Lonza’s Microbial manufacturing network, driving end‑to‑end supply planning to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant delivery of products that support life‑changing medicines. This is a fully site‑based role. What you will get: An agile career path and a dynamic, collaborative work cultureAn inclusive and ethical workplace where diversity of thought is valuedCompensation programs that recognize high performance and impactA competitive salary, plus a comprehensive range of lifestyle, family, and leisure benefitsThe full list of our global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits.  What you will do: Own and execute the monthly Supply Planning cycle for Microbial operations, ensuring alignment with integrated planning, S&OP, and budget processesCreate, maintain, and continuously improve the Supply Plan, including the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and medium‑term capacity outlooksAnticipate supply risks and constraints, developing proactive mitigation strategies in collaboration with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and FinanceLead supply plan accuracy improvements through KPI definition, tracking, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actionsPartner with Inventory Management to define and maintain inventory targets, manage new and phase‑out materials, and reduce excess and obsolete inventoryEnsure supply plans are consistently maintained and utilized in SAP IBP and SAP ECC, driving material, labor, and asset capacity plansProvide functional leadership and oversight of MRP and Scheduling activities, ensuring robust planning parameters and master data governance What we are looking for: Proven experience in Supply Planning / Production Planning, preferably in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or complex manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of S&OP, MPS, MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning conceptsHands‑on experience with SAP IBP and SAP ECC (or comparable advanced planning systems)Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear decisions and actionable plansStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus across global and cross‑functional teamsExperience leading planning processes or guiding planners/schedulers, with a continuous‑improvement mindsetDegree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (transferable skills and equivalent experience are welcome) About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
